Welcome to Jlo-Fans.com!

Billed as one of the sexiest women alive, and blessed with a perfectly plumped derriere, the singer, actress and dancer was born in the Bronx. J-Lo was carried to superstardom by the late 1990s fashion for Latin pop stars. Her romantic intrigues with rap impresario Sean 'Puffy'Combs, and actor Ben Affleck, have helped to keep her in the gossip spotlight.

As a child of Puerto Rican descent, Jennifer enjoyed a variety of musical genres, mainly Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata and mainstream music like Pop, Hip Hop and R&B. Winning a place at Baruch dance school in Manhattan, Jennifer balanced a full time curriculum alongside a job in a law office.

Her Catholic mother, wary of Jennifer’s showbiz aspriations, threatened her saying "you live by my rules as long as you live under my roof". Jennifer promptly moved out, making the dance school her home. Close to break down after a year and a half of unsuccessful auditions, Jennifer tried for a part as a 'Fly Girl' in the Fox TV comedy, 'In Living Colour'. She passed on second attempt, and set off to Hollywood.

'Money Train', in 1995, put her on screen with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson. By 1998 she proved her strength as an actress, starring opposite the popular George Clooney in 'Out of Sight'. The role made her the highest paid Latin actress in history.

After playing in 'Selena' in 1997, Jennifer recorded a demo tape, completely in Spanish. Her first CD, 'On The 6', was a pop album with a Latin flavour, made with the help of Sean 'Puffy' Combs. The album went three times platinum and every song and movie since (except for 2003's Gigli) have been successful.

Her love life is turmultous; in 1999, she split from Puff Daddy, after he was arrested on gun charges and, sensationally, she cancelled her wedding to Affleck in January 2004 amid media uproar.

She married actor, Marc Antony, in a secret ceremony in June 2004.
